Look, God gave you life as a gift, give some gift of time to someone who needs it. Just talk, give a hug, heck a smile! Don't write these people off, who obviously are hurting. I was one of these, I don't cut anymore. Jesus saves me from that, I don't need to cut anymore. But I think of those who do, just so someone would notice they need someone to listen. Even if they're being dramatic, wouldnt you want someone to listen to you even if it was stupid? I'm not saying its right, and a lot of people who do cut for attention are just being immature, but what's it to you to just help them? Even if they don't appreciate, someday they might. I wanted someone to notice me...sometimes, even when I hide it well, and somewhat thinking "don't look at me, I don't know what to say to why I'm crying..." I'm still wishing someone would kneel down and say "you matter to me." I used to hate emos, but when I came to Christ, I basically realized I had been one, and I sometimes still am. I love them now. I want to hug them all. To make them feel loved. To make them smile, to tell them about Jesus, and why they don't need to hurt themselves. Hey, if you're feeling down today, and you're thinking this...Jesus loves you, and I do too. He notices you, and He always kneels down to tell you "you matter to Me..."
